Guest posts

Write what you know. We will publish the best of it.

Bookmarkit accepts guest posts rooted in real experience, solid sources, and honest judgment. If you have used the software, can show the work, and link your claims, pitch us.

Subject must start with CONTENT: then your pitch title.

Quality bar

What we look for

High-quality writing is credible, first-hand, visual when it helps, and carefully linked. Meet these, and format takes care of itself.

  • Credible and authoritative

Write from real knowledge: hands-on use, direct access, or carefully verified primary sources. Vendor docs, incident reports, official releases, and named reporting beat anonymous tips and recycled listicles.

  • Personal experience, not marketing copy

We want people who have actually used the software or lived the problem. Say what you did, what broke, what worked, and what you would do differently. First-hand notes beat brochure language.

  • Images or video that prove the point

Include original screenshots, UI walkthroughs, short clips, or diagrams that show the product or workflow. Stock art and decorative fillers do not count. Media should support a claim, not pad word count.

  • Proper linking throughout

Link primary sources inline. Link official product sites. When a tool is on Bookmarkit, link its profile (/software/{slug}). Never drop bare claims without a place for the reader to verify.

  • Clear structure and useful length

Open with a concrete problem or finding. Use H2s that state the point. Mix short paragraphs with lists where structure helps. Roughly 900–2,400 words depending on depth: briefings, practical checklists, and news analysis all fit if the bar above is met.

  • Honest and labeled judgment

Call out trade-offs. Treat alternatives fairly. Label company-reported metrics, community anecdotes, and your own synthesis. No invented stats, quotes, or fake screenshots.

Hard no

What we do not accept

We will reject pitches and drafts in these categories without debate. Do not waste your time or ours.

  • Spam and low-effort content

Affiliate filler, mass-generated SEO posts, keyword stuffing, or recycled “top 10 tools” dumps with nothing original.

  • Illegal or harmful products

Apps or services that promote drugs, controlled substances, or other illegal activity.

  • Adult and pornographic content

Porn, explicit sexual services, or content that exists mainly to drive adult traffic.

  • Crypto scams and financial fraud

Pump schemes, fake tokens, unlicensed investment pitches, phishing tools, or anything that looks like a scam.

  • Malware, spyware, and social engineering

Tools built to steal data, harass people, or deceive users. We will not host or promote them.

  • Undisclosed promotion

Sponsored copy, paid placements, or product pitches you sell without clear disclosure and independent evidence.

Process

How to submit

  1. 01

    Pitch first

Email a working title, one-sentence angle, why you are credible on the topic, what media you can include, and a short bio. Do not send a full draft until we reply.

  2. 02

    Subject line rule

Start the subject with CONTENT: then a short, specific title. Example: CONTENT: Running self-hosted agents without leaking secrets.

  3. 03

    Write after a green light

If the angle fits, we share length guidance, profiles to cross-link, and any notes on sources or media. Drafts that ignore the brief get rejected.

  4. 04

    Edit and publish

We edit for accuracy, voice, and structure. We may decline late if facts do not hold up or sources cannot be verified.

Ready when you are

Send a short pitch with CONTENT: in the subject. Include your angle, credibility, media plan, and a short bio.
