Granola sells an AI notepad for back-to-back meetings that does not join Zoom, Google Meet, or Teams as a participant. It transcribes from computer or phone audio, writes a calendar brief before external meetings, and drafts notes and actions afterward. Notes are private until you share them. Bookmarkit added a Granola profile because that combination shows up on the same shortlists as Notion and the September coding-agent set.

Those are vendor claims from the public site on 5 September 2026. Confirm current paid features on the pricing page before you budget seats. Device-audio capture still needs a privacy review. “No bot in the call” is not the same as “no audio left the laptop.”
Why it sits next to coding agents
The MCP connector is the reason this is not only a notes post. If Claude Code or Cursor can read last Tuesday’s decisions, the agent’s context is no longer only the repo. That is useful. It is also another channel that can carry instructions. Treat retrieved notes as data, the same way we argued for retrieved web pages in the agentic browser write-up.
- Ask where audio is processed and how long raw capture lives.
- Ask whether the MCP connector is read-only and scoped per agent.
- If legal still bans any meeting recorder, test whether device-audio capture clears the same policy. Do not assume it does.
- Compare Notion if the output you need is a workspace page, and Linear if the output you need is an issue.
